Located in the basement of a 16th-century palazzo in the heart of Rome, HUSH redefines underground nightlife through an interplay of materiality and light. To counteract capillary moisture, a ventilated cavity system was integrated, preserving the historic masonry while improving environmental comfort.

Lighting becomes an architectural element, shaping perception and guiding movement. The ceiling features a modular array of backlit fabric discs, while linear LED inserts along the bar counter and peripheral walls define spatial hierarchy and direct guests toward the dancefloor.

The hall is animated by over 400 kinetic wooden discs, each independently controlled to create dynamic lighting effects. The site’s inherent level variation is addressed through a custom-designed curvilinear seating element, enhancing both spatial fluidity and functional zoning while integrating seamlessly into the architectural language of the club.
